Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what information San Diego Newsline LLC collects through sandiegonewsline.com and our print subscriptions, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you subscribe: your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number, so we can mail the paper and contact you about your subscription. Payments are handled by our payment processors; we do not store full card or bank numbers.

When you contact us: the information in your message, such as your name, email address, and what you wrote.

When you sign up through Google: if you subscribe or join a newsletter using a Google prompt on our site, Google shares the information you agree to share (such as your name and email address) with us.

Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time) used to run and secure the site. Google services on our pages, such as Google News and Reader Revenue Manager, may use cookies under Google's Privacy Policy.

How we use it

To deliver the print edition and newsletters you ask for, process payments, answer messages, send notices about your subscription, keep the site secure, and understand which coverage readers find useful.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as payment processors, the U.S. Postal Service and our mailing vendors, and email and hosting providers — and when required by law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, cancel a print subscription at any time, or ask us to update or delete your information by writing to [email protected].

California privacy rights

California residents may ask to know what personal information we hold about them, request that it be corrected or deleted, and opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]; we may need to confirm your identity first.

Retention and security

We keep subscriber information while your subscription is active and as long as needed afterward for records, tax, and legal purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

The site is meant for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
